HOT DOGS! It's quite good! The store is manned by the korean guy who listens to his ipod all day.

Lunch (or snack) with sis at the food court. Classic quarter red rooster and berry bang boost! The 2 packs there is actually wet tissues!! At first I thought it was some powder seasoning for the food.

Apparently red rooster is famous for its chips. It's quite good, though a bit too salty. The chicken reminds me of the Frankenstein chicken from Jamie Oliver's Fowl Dinner show last night. The show's about how the chicken we eat are abused and stripped of their chicken rights and that we should all rear our own chickens.

The keyring is supposed to be an incentive to motivate us to go for orientation.

Shoes at 5 dollars a pair! And I got 2 while Mad (my housemate) got 3! Comfy!! The purplish pair looks somewhat like military camouflage but it's actually flowers and leaves. Nice nice~~

And I'm totally blaming sis for it. She bought the chips and cheese balls but never eat them!! There's microwave mac n cheese!!! I have yet to try it.

start of boring school

O day can't be any more boring than this!!! All through the day there were only talks after talks after talks and nothing else!! The orientation leader knows like nothing about the things we want to know regarding the course and he is just year 2! Cos we are either going into year 2 sem 2 (same as the OL) or into the final year, he doesn't know anything about it. He kept saying "Oh, that you have to ask Sally Tan (the int'l students advisor)". Like whaaaaat.... if we only needed to ask her, then what are OLs for??! LOUSY. Our course only has about 10 students for this intake and the bulk of the group, the 5 or 6 frm HK, are going into year 3. It's only Yvette, Mirza and I gg into yr2 sem2. THIS IS VERY BAD. PLEASE LET ME MEET SOME NICE PEOPLE FROM MY COURSE IN MY YEAR!!! If not I'll just be a total loner and sulk in a corner.

I thought O day was all games and fun but no..... it's a day of talks followed by another day of talks and then enrolment and then done - get ready for school.

It's really not a good start for me.

My room! On the first night. It's very different now. Imagine alot of things on the table, messy unmade bed and many hangers and clothes draped at the end of the bed.

Same thing, Alot of things on the cupboard and clothes in the closet with the door closed.

A 30-minute bus ride from cockburn central brings you to the land where seagulls can't fly straight - Fremantle. So there we were wandering in the markets, looking at interesting things like fairy ornaments, antique looking carry cases, fresh honey comb, boomerangs among others. Of all things I bought a jacket and socks. Sis bought quite a bit to bring back though, like chocolates from a pathetic chocolate factory, honey, dried figs, macadamia nuts and other stuff.

Oh yes, met Huili - yiling's cousin who will be studying commerce at uwa.
And also met an Alvin (i think that's his name) who will be doing his masters in comm studies at uwa.

UWA is such a pretty place!!! With peacocks and trees and grass and flowers~ Met Yvette today at school too. The campus is so huge I think i'll be late for classes. Travelling is quite convenient though rather long.

We went to the city and harbourtown where all the outlets are. Bought 3 tops already!! Totally not supposed to shop (>___<) Town was alright... but not very happening as of the whole of Perth I reckon. I'm an urban city indoor shopping girl yo! Maybe after 2 years I'll convert to a nature loving outdoor freak.
Food here is so terribly expensive and gross. Food at home was better but the rice was really bad. Gotta stock up tmr!!

It's unwise to use an umbrella here.

Ok, so I'm safely out of asia unto aussie land. It's been not bad so far. The people on the plane, at the airport are all really nice people. The homestay people are very friendly too. But... I have a feeling I would wanna move out soon. No like supervision/nagging outside of home.

It was alright all the while right till the moment I called him at the airport. I have no idea why but almost immediately after talking to him, the tears just came. He's like so far away and yet.... It's really strange how a person can have this kind of power over you.

And so, I'll be flying to the land of the kangaroos in about 13 hours.

I am extremely puzzled by my pre departure behaviour this time. Unlike last year, I am rather detached from everything and everyone. Not feeling anything, as though it's just another trip to somewhere. Not at all any special emotions of leaving, going to a totally foreign land, starting uni, being alone etc... I simply don't feel anything!! And really, because I'm not feeling about the trip, I am hopelessly unprepared. I don't have a clue of what to expect for the course, the uni and the place. My luggage is so badly packed!! It should be certain that I missed out stuff. My room is still in a huge mess and it's gonna stay that way for at least another 4 months - until I'm back.

The plan for now is that I come back during december and then go back to HK for a holiday. Feel like spending christmas in HK this year... At least it's cold and there'll be lights!!

The things I think of now are absolutely not the things I should think of right now, at this moment, in this situation.

The past 4 days of acting like tourists, walking all the wrong directions, going to places I've never been too and everthing else was so awesome! Although I am still very very very sorry for being late at the arrivals. But still, enjoyed myself crazy, I hope you did too!

I didn't know it was so such a scary place!! The darkness of it, the bat that flew out of nowhere and OMG that rat/creature that ran out of the bushes!! But it was great fun though. It's way better than the zoo!! Less heat, less smell, less people!

The lake is a freaky place. It's so ghoulish, especially in the photo. And oh, we took the shot ourselves using the timer (so are the many shots on the flyer...).

I liked this. He liked this. So we bought it for 20 bucks >_<
