YAY YAY YAY! My parcel arrived!!!!
I just LOVE LOVE LOVE getting something in the mail. I was so suprised this morning when i saw it on the coffee table!! Sis didn't even tell me she sent it!! and I was just wondering about it yesterday. Much loves to you~ /muack
My packages always consist of random things cos they just happen to be the little little things that I need but not super urgently. Like this time, the random things are highlighters, earphone pads (using the red one alr!!), little post it, note card rings and my songs in the disc. AND A BONUS LETTER!!! <33 and I totally love that muji paper bag! I know you know I will like it so you posted it too right!! :)
I really really love snail mail, parcels and everything that comes in the letterbox! It doesn't really matter what's in them, as long as they are something and something personal (so bills that come in the mail dont count). I think of them as happiness packed in a small envelope.
Speaking of which, someone still owes me a parcel/present... but I'm not really expecting to get that anymore now. Kinda like, less hopes equals to less disappointment /shrugs

Was shopping at woolies yesterday and got their new eco shopping bag! So cute!! Though it's still very early for summer...
And cos this was on sale (only 10 bucks!) I got it while on the way to the post office.
And because of the above mentioned on sale white handbag, I had to go inside the shop and that made me get this big green flowery bag as well! Cos I needed a school bag really badly and this is nice and light~ Actually, I didn't notice it's lightness until I got home and showed Mad the bag LOL But I did notice that it's big, of good quality and just nice for school! XD
The reason why I was going to the post office:
I went to claim my doctor bills from OSHC the other day and the lady issued a credit slip which can be redeemed for cash at the post office.

So the one week break is over, very little was done cos I was sick for most of it. Being sick sucks.
I just need one confirmation from you and that will solve everything. It doesn't matter when, as long as you will, I can put up with all these until that time. Just tell me you will.
The light from my table lamp is bad. And it gives me a headache.

I bought a pack of Salmon Sushi Flavour potato chips that comes with a little sachet of wasabi powder. How cool is that?!! So when you want to eat it, pour out some salmon sushi chips and then add the wasabi powder and SHAKE!!!!
They left out the soy sauce though.
In order to decrease distraction so that I might be able to concentrate on work, I removed the HongKong toolbar from IE. It's really tempting to put it back cos it's just a click away.... Tools>toolbars>Hong Kong toolbar. But no, I musn't succumb. That thing is evil.

Eating chips while drinking liang teh doesnt help but it certainly does make me feel less heaty. I feel like stocking up on liang teh. And I was extremely tempted to stock up on cream soda cos it's one for one at $8 per pack. But the thought of lugging it one hour back home kills all temptation as with any other food with substantial weight. So each time, I'll end up with chips cos they are so light and airy >_<
I wish I knew how to drive PLUS own a car (or maybe, just living nearer northbridge).
Not a very wasted day today cos I finished 2 readings and am starting on my third. 3 deadlines until 6 oct and i'll be free for quite a while after that. It's like finally seeing some end to my deadlines. Nearer and nearer to exams, which I have no clue of the dates. But I am getting excited just by looking at the acad year dates. Semester ends 31 Oct! That means about a month odd away! OMG so soon!
And I am getting excited about the Perth royal show. They have so many showbags and I have like 8 on my list. This show is so old school country, with many many animal shows and things you associate with farms, fresh produce, cows and all. Somewhat like a glam version of a farmers' show, like the one in Charlotte's web. But that doesnt mean I dislike it. I still can't wait to go even though the show dates totally crash with school holidays here so it'll be crowded with crazy loud kids. The kids here are so loud, they are scary. But I am totally shocked how they can carry torn school bags, wear stained school uniforms and leggings with huge holes, dump their bags ANYWHERE like beside a rubbish bin or on wet pathways. It's so ewww.

When my fever came back last night (and at 38.5 degrees!!), I totally freaked out and swallowed 2 panadol and went straight to sleep at 11+ PM. I can't believe I could actually sleep this early. But last night was so bad, I was shivering even though the heater is just next to me so after shivering for a very long while, I realised it might be bad. Went straight into the shower and shivered like hell, bundled up and then into bed. But phew, thank all the gods, my fever went away this morning. I hope and pray it wont come back again.
I guess it must be due to the rain yesterday. Since I didnt bring my big polka dot umbrella, the esprit one really let me down once again. It couldnt withstand the wind and couldnt shelter us from the rain that was coming in all directions. So got drenched in the rain, was wearing skirt and had evil unhealthy squid n chips. I think that's why my fever rose from the dead. Today, I was supposed to go to school for some research and meet Liying but as a safety precaution, I think it's better to stay at home and away from wind and unpredictable rain. It'll rain unpredictably for another week. I am starting to dislike the rain.
97 days to Christmas!!!
It's crazy how the countdown actually started already. It's like a quarter of a year to go. There's still halloween in between!! But more positively, that means it's 77 days to home!!!! I'm excited already. Should start working on my TO BUY LIST.
It's thursday and I have not even started on any assignment. I ought to shoot myself.

I was planning to steal the empty room's mattress this afternoon when mad called to ask if I still wanted to catch The Mummy. So after messing up that bed and stealing the chair instead, I left for garden city in 'dancer' attire, so Janesa said. (Anyways, I wanted to swap my mattress because mine is too soft and it's not comfy.) The Mummy 3 was disappointing. The chinese is so wrong, Michelle yeoh can hardly speak chinese, Anthony wong sounds too HK, Isabella sounds stiff, the angmoh shouldnt even try speaking. Everyone who watched it was complaining about the horrendous chinese dialouge afterwards. And why did they change Evy?!! Rachel Weisz was so awesome! The new woman is really bad. Unconvincing and everything. Apparently Rachel Weisz opted out from the film because of bad script. And I totally agree with her.

ONE-WEEK MID SEM BREAK OFFICIALLY STARTS TODAY!
YAY!! Although I know that I have to finish 2 essays by the end of the break, but still, not having to be forced to school because of tuts is pure bliss. It's getting so extremely difficult to wake up in the mornings. I wonder how you can get drunk, then sleep only at 2am and then wake up in time for work and the cycle goes on for almost a week!! I wish I had that determination. Rainy weather + lack of sleep makes it absolutely impossible to wake up srsly.
There was a power trip this morning. Couldnt blow dry my hair and so was out in the freezing wind with wet hair which made it so much colder. bleh. Signed up for the Penguin island tour with Liying and her friend today. Really looking forward to it!! Can go out, mix with people, sightsee and relaxxxx~ AWESOME.
The infection from my right eye leaped over to my left eye. The right got better, though still swollen, and now it's my left eye's turn to torture me. I wonder why this always happens.
Sometimes, I wish I can really move out but then I'll think about it and then become reluctant again. And now that dad wants me to stay put, it seems like moving out is still far far awayyyy. But really, am I immature to want to move out? Yes I know I need to learn to live with people and stuff but.... is learning to 'grow up' more important than being happy? Of course if we live alone there'll still be problems which we cant foresee at this moment, but it should be much better than the situation here isnt it? On the other hand, it's really comfy here - my room, the blanket, the bathroom, the suburb. Gahhh such a dilemma.
Was looking through our old photos last night till like 2am. I miss everyone so badly. The photos date all the way back to 2006! Silly poly cam whore photos, travels, visits and all. So much love in them. Then I read the 'blog' that I used to type at work during internship, everything just came flashing back. It's been such a journey, frm looking like siao gina to now, although we might still look very much like that, but at least so different, and different as in good different. It's fantastic.

After suffering from the pain for days, I finally went to see the doctor yesterday. The doctor was really nice, looked at my eye and ewww-ed with me for a while before giving me the prescription. Then i headed down to the campus pharmacy to buy the eyedrop. IT COSTED 17 BUCKS!! so friggin expensive!! But I love that they use this cute paper bag!! The lady before me bought like many tubes of some medication and also a pack of gummies and the guy stuffed all of that into the paper bag!! It suddenly dawned on me that I'm really in an ang moh country! LOL
Anyhow, the eyedrop's really effective cos the pain kinda went away today and I think it's less swollen already.
On the way to the city, I saw this again. It's a car with a horse carriage!! Horse carriage as in the brown thing actually houses a horse!! When I snapped this photo, the horse's nose wasn't sticking out of the little hole though... It's quite common for people to drive their horses around~ Really cute I thought.
Being quite happy yesterday, I ventured into the little cracks of the city again. Almost got lost. I found the 'branded' street with gucci, tiffany and what have you. And also, many interesting shops along the way. I bought what I wanted to get and felt even happier after that.
Initially, I wanted to go to northbridge to maybe get mooncake and cosmogirl. But I know I shouldn't spend so much so began walking in another direction to let fate decide if I should reach northbridge at all. So as it turned out, I didn't! That direction was totally the opposite way.
I want mooncake!!!
Will be going to Penguin Island next monday!! Cos it's break!!!!

My swollen right eye is getting worse every day. The pain is like slowing expanding its territory, conquering part of my upper cheek already... every blink is like /ouch.
I'm procrastinating once again, using my swollen eye as an excuse not to start my readings or listen to lectures. It was really good to have a lil break last week with 2 tuts cancelled. It's quite amazing how uni can have 45 min tutorials and only 10 tuts in total when there are 13 lectures/weeks. Not that I'm complaining but it seems a bit too slack isn't it? I mean, tp used to be like 2hour lectures and 2hour tuts each week!
It's mid autumn festival next week! I wanna have mooncake~~!!! I can never really have enough of mooncake.
How I hate spring, there are insects flying everywhere!!
Since it's so much hotter now, I got out my summer clothes from the luggage and kept the winter clothes away! Yay shorts and short sleeves soon! And I need summer shoes. and BAG!!

Another outing during mad's one week break! It's really like my school break as well. I didnt go for classes 3 days this week!~ Anyways, this time, it's to Fremantle for kangaroo meat! WOOHOO! (Do you know that eating kangaroo rather than beef can save the earth?)
Little creatures at Freo. They brew their own beer just like brewerks!
The place is really cool. Basically it's a shed with stylish weird looking art and music plus alot of huge metal brewing... things.
I stole their menu card! it's so cute! it's like a note card.

They didn't check out ID when we ordered beer! So we look old enough!! Yatta!!

TADA!! Roo roo meat! It's really good. A softer version of beef.
That's pale ale on the left and a half finished bright ale on the right. The pale doesnt look pale and the bright doesnt look bright!!! they both look exactly the same. Although mad insists that they taste different.... Pale ale contains 0.7% more alcohol. I couldnt taste the difference though.
The pizza! This was soooo good!! Harissa spiced lamb, melenzane and fetta wood-fired pizza. It is really really really yummy.
Satisfied me! BUT I DIDN'T CLEAR ALL THE DISHES OK!!
After lunch, we walked a bit to burn off the calories and went to this arthouse to get inspired.
Looking at art as if we really knew how. lol they were nice though.
I like this!! Although it seems as though it'll give way, but I still sat on it anyway. It's a dog with a mohawk, is it?
Then, we came to the anchorwalk. Looks like greece.
Ah~ the beautiful sea. The wind was so strong I couldnt hold my camera still!!

My eye is down with infection again.... I think. It feels like the other times when there's this small dot in my eye and I had to apply some gooey medication. But now since I don't have that gooey stuff, I just have to bear with it. It just hurts a bit when I close my right eye.
Or on the other hand, it might be due to me being too hardworking and straining my eyes too much. heh.
So it's confirmed, I'll be back in Singapore from 5th Dec to 8th Feb and from 13th to 20th Dec, I'll be in HK and also back to mum's hometown in 東莞 which I havent been to since....... I dunno, perhaps 10 years or more. In about 3 months' time, winter shopping, disneyland, good food, hotel and all other good things with family!! Really looking forward!! Been way too deprived here.
I long for a homecooked meal by my mama /pout.

Being a self declared holiday today, mad and i took the ferry and headed down to south perth! Since it's tuesday, we had gelare ice cream and waffles!! Awesome honey malt crunch ice cream which i havent had in agessss!!
See the little bit of green on the ferry? That means transperth. I like the public transport here, it's kinda cheap. 
The panoramic view of the tallest buildings in perth city from across the swan river. Think i'm getting used to not having much high rise and having ALOT of blue sky and simpsons clouds!
I love bald trees. Somehow very picturesque. And I love them in spring the most cos there'll be tiny green sprouts at the very end of each branch. They're so cute and cheers me up too!

On the more depressing side, I dreamt of death this morning. I watched people hang to death, and I myself was hung too, at 4pm. It's the first time i dreamt so vividly about death and the first time i actually died too. It's weird.
Even more depressing, my eyes are awfully swollen from a long cry. again. Since when I became so emo?! I hate myself for being like this, so dependent, so weak.

This is so freaky. Twice already! TWICE!
The last time at freo when it was all dark, 2 young cyclists.
This time at northbridge under broad daylight, 1 middle-aged man.
Do you know who scary it is for a girl who is all alone on foreign land to be approached by men who are way taller and bigger trying to strike up weird conversation in hopes of getting your number and have a coffee together 'one day'?!! Thank goodness there were so many people on the streets today and it was SO BRIGHT. If it was this man instead of the cyclists that night, I think I would cry and be stuck to the ground.
I am getting scared about going out alone AT ALL. It is so terrifying! I used to think like how dangerous can this place get? So what if they are huge, so what if they are drunk, so what if they might be mad. But seriously, when normal sane people approach you, it is way more scary than it might seem. Thankfully these two times are still considerably alright, I wasn't hurt, just traumatised. What if next time they snatch my bag, or stick out a knife or whatever thing else. Seriously they can do anything at all, I'm hardly half their size!!
I need to learn some self defence skills, it's not everyday I carry an umbrella.
Karate? Taekwondo? Judo? Kick boxing? .... yoga?
I need someone to protect me.
