it's the end
11:41 PM

April is really ending. A whole month went by just like that.
Nothing happened... Well, who am I to expected anything anyway. There wasn't even any promise to begin with. Just lies, big fat lies. It's just that I have been too naive to have believed in you, that's all.
Thanks for all the false hope you gave. You had no idea how they affected me.

restless
1:02 AM

I am so restless recently. It's like no matter how many hours I sleep, I'm still lethargic. Maybe it's the imaginary stress, maybe it's the whole shifting thing, maybe it's the lack of social life, maybe it's the weather. I just feel so weird and displaced somehow.

Anyhow, I've been spending out of my mind crazy. Like how I suddenly felt the urge for lunch at arirrang and spent a ridiculous 17 bucks on kimchi soup. And also the drinks and the shirts and stuff. I know I shouldn't be spending but my brain just stops functioning when i actually spend the money! And for sure, there's gonna be a whole load of spending coming up - setting up costs at the new place. Sometimes for a while there, I doubt my choice. Like why do I really want to downsize to a less furnished place and might even end up spending more? But a part of me will argue that it's actually the independence and freedom and convenience i'm after. I suppose that's how uncertainty gets the better of me eh. Oh wells, i have to keep convincing myself that this is the right choice and i should believe in myself for making it.

It was ANZAC yesterday. The wonderful rare public holiday that even uni students can enjoy. Though tmr's the actual holiday, anzac was yesterday. On the way to uni, i caught part of the anzac hype in the city! it was awesome, the hot guys in uniform omg! hahaha tons of servicemen were getting ready for the parade and streets were closed for people to sit by the roads and wave flags as the parade went by. Though i couldnt catch the parade, it was great to experience part of it. Stupid group meeting. I swear i will go for it next year. And oh! I got an aussie flag too (and tons of aussie government post it and pens)! These people are so patriotic.

Winter's coming, sky is getting dark early, winds are blasting.
And the season is bringing in all the gloom with it as well.

animal farm!
10:06 PM

Oak lawn transformed into a zoo/carnival today!
There were cute white chooks and their other weird looking relatives, cuddly wabbits, big big doggies, one lone dove, some other birds that shit a lot, dumb sheep that grazed on grass and spider webs, guinea pigs, a proud idk what, perhaps llama and a massive turkey!!!!! They were all so cute!!!!!! the chooks were very very cute, they looked as though they were wearing fluffy bedroom slippers!! and there was this horny rabbit lol! the turley was really really really huge, like really. with its feathers spread out, it was such a sight. i have never actually seen a real turkey before i think and their heads are very ugly, with the flabby red cancerous looking skin. anyways, it was so random to have them here!!! it wasn't even any special day or some funky fundraising day like prosh. and there was also a fire swinger! idk what to call him actually. he had two balls of fire attached to a chain thing and he was flinging them around. its quite a common stunt with fire eaters kinda performers, but definitely not common for school! it was cool though. and and!! there were huggeeeee bubbles!! its like 2 rods attached to a loop of rope that has to be dipped in the bubble solution. then you carefully create a circly hole by pulling the rods apart. if that made any sense. but the bubbles were BIG!!! like half the height of me and a few times fatter. lol!! prettty!!
it's nice to have things happening on the lawn other than free hotdog lunches. can they get any more original?! hotdogs. urgh.

2 more days to easter break! yatta!!!
2 more days to anth2220 essay! un-yatta!

and bernice is REALLY moving out. i is very very sad.

thou shalt not be lazy
12:19 AM

it's been quite a while eh. everytime i log on to blogger, look at the updates of the blogs i follow, comtemplate at the new post button for the longest time and sometimes even click on it just to wait for the posting page to load, i will close the window and proceed with other things or maybe open another internet window again to look at other things. i just don't know what to write, i'm just lazy to type, or perhaps i don't want to relive those moments again while typing them out. it's not that i don't like the things that happened, in fact it has been quite awesome this while, but i just don't feel like making my brain work on top of the whole shitload of uni assignments that i've been pulling my hair out about.
editing is killing me cos tony is so irritating sometimes and group mates are always busy working so it's me doing almost every thing from filming to editing. i miss mediabiz so much, how i wish we had editing suites and friendly staff like mr pok not like anita and larissa! how i wish everyone knew how to use fcp and the camera and can contribute to the project. gahhh I MISS CMM!!!

The other day, i was in the city with bernice and saw this cute family of violinists!! they were busking for money to go to melbourne for a competition. and i think this moment is really cute, that old lady looking at them sooo closely while most people are like standing where i was.

And then, on april 1st, it was PROSH!!! and aprils' fool..
PROSH is this amazing annual event by uwa that has been going on for decades. the students come up with a satire newspaper and goes to city selling them in their fantastic home made costumes the entire morning to raise funds! prosh starts at 4AM!!! and according to geoffrey, it starts with a party where they drink and get high! at 4 fricking am!! and then there's also the prosh ball at the end of the day where i suppose is another round of booze. gosh, aussies and their booze. and because of prosh, morning classes are cancelled! how cool is that?! we went to city to show some support and bought the papers from this group who had one guy wear a real watermelon helmet! he was a spartan. lol!

Then there was the parade where all of them walk from esplanade to northbridge. Other than jesus with the cross here, there was the mario kart crew with their karts and the cloud and stars!!! they had a race at the oak lawn during lunch during the prosh carnival the other day. the race was hilarious, mario, the mushroom, DK, peach, luigi and gang was all in their costumes and DIY karts racing, pushed manually by some poor souls rather, and throwing the stars and tortise shells at each other and dodging the man made obstacles like a random soft drink can spraying on them, huge metal barrels rolled across the track by the students and like having their karts stuck on the grass!!! rofl it was so amazing!!!
anyways, there were many many other characters that day, like smurfs, cookie monster, spongebob, wizard of oz, banana man, a whole christmas gang, sci-fi geeks, alice in wonderland, old grannies with curlers and walking sticks, retro pimps and so many others i didn't see and forgot about. bernice wanna be a yakuza next year!! hahaha! we're gonna be the classy yakuzas in black kimono with a fan and a cigarette on the thin pipe thing!

As usual, when there are events like this the police gets called in to make sure everything's alright. and there they are! 6 police on horses and the end of the parade! and lots of horse poo to accompany it! the horses are pretty though!
Yesterday was friday, our off day, so i suggested going to IKEA!!! love loveeee ikea!
the building looks exactly the same as the one at tampines, complete with the triangle ikea sign on the pole!!! even the cafe resembled the singapore ikea.
finally had the ikea lunch that i craved for ever since the ikea catalogue came!! ikea meatballs are the BESTTTT!! but, it's different from ikea singapore. the taste is the same but the meatballs here look like they are made from scratch in the kitchen rather than the frozen ones we get in singapore. but the sauce and the jam and the potatoes are the main thing anyway. it was soooo good! ikea food is cheap and good! the drink was great too! pear cider from sweden. i felt bad though, cos ikea was quite a walk frm the station and we were famished by the time we got there but all bernice could have was organic pasta cos she doesnt take beef and salmon. but we had cheap ice cream!! it's just 30 cents for an ice cream cone!!! like omg. and one dollar for a hot dog! and we realised it's just a direct bus from uni! how awesome is that?!

ok that's about all that's been happening.
oh, and i have a horrible rash around my neck for which i went to the chemist yesterday to get a cream from the pharmacist who whispers so softly that i could hardly hear anything. i feel so loud and rowdy just by talking to him in my normal voice. eeps.
and also, i have been having nose bleeds like almost every day i think i have to see a doctor soon or else i might bleed to death.
and one last thing, i am looking forward to winter!!!!! yay for boots and winter jackets!! woohooo!!

battle of the sexes
12:03 AM

On the girls...

And then the guys...

It's an amazing topic isn't it? It can go on for hours. I wonder if I fall under the 港女 category. Got to admit I fall into some of their criteria... like dieting (though i never actually get down to it) and i do like some brands but now that i have my very first agnes b pouch (i love my sis for that btw), i dont really know how to use it. but, are hk girls really that bad? like expecting guys to pay for everthing, carry their handbags, loves money and all branded stuff.....? it's not all that different for other countries isn't it?

anyways that aside, hk infotainment always fascinates me and is never boring. and of cos, very localised.
