regrets
12:13 AM

I seriously regret taking up my one and only history module. It's interesting to listen and read about ancient women but when it comes to essay.... KILL ME PLEASE. It's the kind of assignment which makes you hope that the lecturer somehow by some miracle will take it out, or you suddenly get banged by a car and get hospitalise so you have proper excuse for not doing or you imagine you are so rich and influential that you can actually bribe someone to do it instead.

O Hildegard, o poor clares please enlighten me in my dreams tonight and give me all the citations I need for this damned 1000-word essay due on monday. Hear my plea oh great ones.

(V_V)

I swear this will be my first and last academic thing ever to do with history.

when i have nothing to do
4:17 PM

Being in the library is quite depressing.

I thought I could concentrate better but suprisingly, it is actually better at home where i seem to have so much more distractions (i.e the bed) and noise from a particular woman. I think it's because in the library I have to listen to music with my earphones rather than speakers. It somehow makes me listen to my music more than reading.

But it's good to be out of the house and be away from the restricting environment, not like the libray's not restricting, but it's still better than nothing. And the library is open on weekends too, so there's always a place to go when i don't like things at home. Sounds so sad, seeking refuge in a l-i-b-r-a-r-y.

Apart from my miserable school life, I've been dreaming alot. That means both dreams when i'm asleep and day dreaming of cos. Night dreams are getting so real I can't bounce out of it when I wake up and will continuing daydreaming about the night dreams. I think it's because I dream of the things I dream at night in the day therefore I dream even more at night. It's like a viscious cycle, but thankfully, of GOOD dreams.
Will they ever come true?

as far as ye can, forgive them their faults
12:22 AM

"You are all afire with longing, and, seduced by the nobility of its fine head,do not realise that you are seeking the Chimaera; you refuse to recognise that three-formed monster is graced with the face of a noble lion, is sullied by the belly of a stinking goat, and is armed with the tail of a poisonous serpent; therefore I am forbidden to speak." - Walter Map (C.1180)

I simply can't understand how people can write like this and expect to be understood. This paragraph is from a super long letter titled "The letter of Valerius to Ruffinus, Against Marriage". There are like 36 numbered paragraphs and the author is actually Walter Map but due to some thing about 'to fulfil all the good turns of friendship', he sends out as Valerius and that person, John , became Ruffinus (because he's a red-head and in latin it is rufus). I reckon they like being pen pals with strange nicknames.

People from those days simply have too much time on their hands.

bits and pieces... randomly
11:03 PM

Today was my very first assignment submission for uni. And as nad suggested, a photo of this 'momentous situation'!
Posting my first essay of the tons to come.

This morning when I woke up, i drew the curtains and was so shocked! Our backyard morphed into a desert overnight! Uncle shane's doing some upgrade of the backyard and that included digging a deep pit, removing the grass, mixing cement and paving! All by himself! WOW.
Mad was on her hot date and gungho and uncle shane was working so it was only sharon left at home and i no want to have dinner with her alone pls. So... even though that meant being alone outside, i didnt mind. Went to Freo after handing in my assignment and had the famous Cicerello's fish & chips!!!

Lovely sunset by the waters and there sat Cicerello's.

The beeper! I swear these things freak me out. Fish & chips for AUD12.60!

Tada!! The good stuff double wrapped in paper. Fish was good, chips wasn't. Really should have bought the outrageously overpriced tartare sauce.

Randomly, i found this photo in my phone. This was my best dinner in perth. Korean bbq at Arirang. Loveeee korean food!!

12:23 AM

I'm only giving myself this one last day to sink and wade in all the sadness and negative emotions then I'll be done with and move on!
I need to kick all those irrelevant things out of my mind and c o n c e n t r a t e (until 1st sept at least!).

bad luck. no luck.
11:09 PM

Seriously, bad luck can't go further than this.

First, I couldnt sleep last night. Twisted and turned in bed for 3 whole hours so in the end I only had 5 hours of sleep.

Then this morning, it was so bad.
Squishing of the mop, whirling of the washing machine, VACUUMING. I wanted to curse and swear before i even woke up. It's so bloody early in the morning and she starts cleaning the house like there's no tomorrow. It was 8AM!!! Nevermind. I get out of the bed, wanting to go to bathe. SHE HAD THE BLOODY DIRTY PAIL IN THE SHOWER! and she was like in the bathroom wiping here and there and the whole floor was wet with dettol water and there was no rug! Fine. I go to the toilet and panic cos I'll be late if I dont bathe soon. And then she had to SCREAM my name like so many many times when I was in the toilet and can't respond. I wanted to slap her. I can't really stand her voice to begin with and she has to send her voice echoing throughout the house IN THE MORNING! Then in the end I got to bathe in that dirty shower which I had to clean so much before stepping in and laying out the rug cos no one steps on dettol water with bare feet.
(DO NOT EVER IRRITATE ME IN THE MORNING. morning is a very bad time to piss me off, seriously)

Next, on my way to school.
Mad got off at Murdoch station and I took out my ipod since I was alone. And then, IT DIED! The battery totally went flat although I charged it the whole night. That's what happens when you've used your ipod for 4 years.

In school.
I read all the wrong readings for the pol science tutorial!!! And the tutor suddenly suggested a new way of running the tutorial. Everyone had to draw a number UNO card randomly and then answer the question according to the respective numbers - so that ALL of us HAD to participate. OMG I WANT TO DIE. It used to be open discussion where those who wanted to speak can speak and those who didnt can stay silent, and hopefully unnoticed, for that 45mins and sneak off. I was reading and reading and reading the whole of yesterday and it was so bad I wanted to cry cos that stupid author (the one i hated yesterday) wrote so much crap that was totally incomprehensible. On top of that, there were FOUR readings!!! I scruntinised four readings in a single day and thought I was so prepared for tutorial and then IT WAS FOR THE NEXT WK!! SMACKS SELF.

therefore, i am very depressed today - earlier half of the day.

but the long casual relaxing talk by the river with Mad today was awesome. we concluded that there are 3 types of guys and they are so confusing. hahahaa!

it's always the little things that make my day. and they are really important. you have no idea how much i look forward to them.

pay me, dammit
9:55 PM

Where are you my pay?
I've been waiting for you since ages ago.
You are still nowhere in sight.
Will you ever come to my side?

on another note, weetbix + vanilla ice cream + maple syrup is the best food in this house! and it must be a weet bix to a mountain of ice cream with loads of syrup!! yummy~!

and randomly, I was looking at photos last night. Photos from long ago (last year). I've changed tremendously, way too much. Everything else changed alot as well. Is that a good thing?

just so i am happy
12:06 AM

This is absolutely 1000% impulse purchase. BUT, look at the birdie post-its!!!!! It's omg so cute that once I saw it I was determined to get it although it is 4 times the price in HK and twice that in singapore. That works out to be AUD14.80.
and I love cosmogirl anyway.

I actually wanted to buy useful stuffs like an over-the-door-hanger and scissors but then while happily drinking my huge cup of bubble tea that I craved for over the weekend, I thought it wouldnt hurt to go by Northbridge FOR A WALK. So I returned home with a magazine and no hanger and no scissors.

These things are killers!!!! Just the 2 books costed me AUD95!!! And they are second hands!!!! The reader is well... a must have and much cheaper than idiot heavy textbooks. Curse ANTH1102! Why can't he have readers like everyone else?!

the world factbook
9:20 PM

Did you know that Uganda, a country in Africa, has the world's youngest population with the median age at only 15 years?
FYI, the median age of the Singapore population is 38.4 years and Japan, the world's oldest population, is at 43.8 years.

See, I've became so inspired after watching all the thousands of countries parade into the bird nest stadium last night. I bet no one (that I know) knows of Uganda!
Actually, it's because of my (cursed) pol science readings that I happen to come across the CIA's world factbook and as a result of randomness, went searching for this.

And JB, if you are reading this, people from Greenland are called GREENLANDERS (not greenish. bleh.)

it's complicated
12:32 AM

I wish I can be easily contented so I can be satisfied with things as they are now.

anyways, it's the luckiest day in the century! 080808~
and forever friends isn't the theme song for the olympics, is it?

adventure to northbridge
10:30 PM

Went wandering in northbridge again. Today, I found much of the many loves of my life.
And one of them was found in...
The adventure made me a very happy girl until I came home. The later part is not worthy to be mentioned.

RASH!! HELP!
6:06 PM

There's this irritating patch of rash on my neck. Right smack in the centre so everyone can see how disgusting it is. I thought it was just some allergy that will go away after a while, but it's kinda stuck forever (>__<) HELPPPPPP~~~~ What do I apply on this thing? And I don't wanna see a doctor cos it'll be very troublesome and I have to wait like 4 hours.

"The weather's too great to be indoors!", says Mad. So we headed out to the great outside world - the obstacle course playground. That playground is scary!!! It shouldn't even be called a playground! Maybe outward bound or smtg. But the kids here are so active and unafraid, unlike the both of us. boo. So we struggled up, and stayed there for like 2 hours at least, talking about the homestay, and the homestay and the HOMESTAY. Yay for gossip! It's amazing how things can get so interesting in a small household like this. So it's gonna be interesting afterall.

Pilates, anyone?

polka dotty
12:46 AM

Have been rather moody this few days. Perhaps it's the rain, perhaps it's the snail speed internet, perhaps it's the long-time-no-see-i-miss-you or perhaps it's just too boring here. I overslept yesterday so missed 2 lectures, I slept in today till really late cos there's just nothing worth waking up for! I suppose it'll be the same for the weekend. It's always those few places, those few things. Sometimes it's not that there's nothing to do, but rather they're all to expensive. Movies, manicure, boost (even boost!), good food, everything!

We went to the city for dinner since it's late night shopping there. But srsly, what late night is 9pm?! Mad and I had KFC dinner and came back with the others at 7pm. BORING. Come back home, watched a bit of tv and decided to squirm back into my room and tudou instead. At least I can get more interesting shows on tudou.

Anyways, something to cheer me up.
I totally love my new brolly! It's somewhat of an impulse buy, but at least it came with therapeutic effects!!

(it comes with 3 years guarantee as well)
