i was and still am having a crazy craving for sticky date pudding!

and had a sudden urge to bake, so i made an apple cake just now and it was heaven. recipe from how to cook like your grandmother. it doesnt look awesome, but taste wins hands down. my last minute decision of buying that tub of slightly pricier vanilla ice cream from across the street was all worth it. definitely definitely more baking to come! i love the big oven.

now, i have craving for bacon wrapped strawberries!!!! yep, thats right, cooked strawberries and bacon! the weirdest combination ever, but i trust pete. i'm so gonna buy some strawberries, which are currently in season and smell amazing at all supermarkets, and get some bacon which i've also been craving for quite a longgg time. i just didnt know what i could do with bacon other than bacon and eggs for breakfast. but now, time for bacon discoveries! apparently bacon goes with cakes, apples, scones, cookies, ice cream and every single food imaginable basically.
